There is no doubt that Disney is a huge corporate entity, but behind this big business machine are people. Disney wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for the contributions of individuals who put their hearts and creative energy into it.
Remembering Roy E. Disney is a memoir written by David Bossert. He chronicles the life of this influential Disney family member based on his own experiences working with him for many years and through research and personal conversations with other employees and family members. Roy P. Disney provides the forward and additional insight into his father and what it’s like to be a part of all of this.
The book has a very personal feel to it and includes images of memorable people, artifacts and places. He shares the stories with warmth as only a longterm friend or family member can. It feels as if you’re sitting around the living room or dinner table reminiscing.
I had the pleasure of meeting both Roy P. Disney and David Bossert at the D23 Expo this summer. It was fascinating to hear them share these wonderful old family stories in person.
