Are you excited? The Boxcar Children movie is now available for home viewing! Surprise Island was featured for a one day only showing in movie theaters earlier this year, but now it is out on DVD, blu-ray and, also, digital.

The Boxcar Children books are classics and have stood the test of time. Many adults who read the series oh so many years ago now have children and, even grandchildren, reading the books!

Technology is great and has many benefits. However, sometimes retreating to a simpler life can be a good thing for kids and adults as you’ll see in Surprise Island.

The kids in the movie have wonderful adventures while vacationing on this almost uninhabited island. They spend time together and they create their own fun.

The movie is just as great as I expected it to be and I highly recommend it. The story is definitely entertaining, but it will also encourage kids to be adventurous and curious in real life. Additionally, it just may encourage your children to read more books.

Synopsis

    My kid loved the Boxcar Kid books. I didn’t know that they had DVDs, as well. Would love to see this.
