A Film by Cathy Yan

scene from dead pigs movie

Watch the based on true events film Dead Pigs, when you want to enjoy an entertaining, humorous and thought-provoking drama.

Yes, the movie does have an odd sounding title.

However, it is inspired by an actual event, the Huangpu River dead pigs incident of 2013.

I vaguely remember hearing about it in the news, but now know more about the incident and the cultural and economic issues that shaped it.

The film is good entertainment and would be even if it weren’t based on those true events.

That just adds more depth and meaning to the movie.
