The Secret Is In The Sauce
When I heard that there is a new food inspired haircare product line, I knew I had to do a Sauce Beauty review.
The products are not actually edible, but they are inspired by delicious, fresh food.
Sauce Beauty’s owner has years of experience in the beauty industry and he is passionate about cooking good meals.
The food theme of the haircare line is fun, but ingredients that we love to eat can also be good for hair and scalp health.
I tried out several of the products and am happy with the results.
Sauce Beauty Product Line
For the record, my hair is very fine and naturally wavy. If I skip conditioner, the waves get dry and look unhealthy. If I use a moisturizing product that is too heavy, it makes my fine hair look limp and dirty.
So … how did Sauce Beauty work for me?
I love it!
First, my favorite product is the Guacamole Whip Deep Moisture Mask that has avocado oil and other good ingredients in it.
They advertise that it doesn’t weigh down, but I still thought it might be too heavy for my hair. It wasn’t.
My hair looks and feels healthy and hydrated, so it has waves without flyaway frizz.
They recommend using it 2-3 times a week, which is great for my hair. Those of you who have really dry coarse hair may want to use this more often, instead of just as a treat.
Deep Moisture Mask Guacamole Whip
Two other favorites are the Island Marinade Moisturizing Shampoo and the Tzatziki Taming Spray Leave-in Conditioner.
Both of these products do a great job of hydrating without weighing down my hair.
The shampoo is great for daily use.
I’ve been using the leave-in conditioner on days when I’m not using the deep conditioner. This seems to be a good routine that makes my hair happy.
The brand is transparent about their ingredients, so you can easily see what is in the products and why they have chosen those particular ingredients.
This is especially good for those of us who have allergies and sensitivities to be concerned about.
Nothing is hidden, so you’ll know just what you are using.
The pricing is very reasonable and a lot less than comparable salon brands.
I am now a Sauce Beauty fan, especially of the Guacamole Whip.
