When Theater Makes People Free
Power of Moths is a beautiful documentary that will inspire you to appreciate the talent of others and, also, to dream of big things.
Live theater performances can be transformational for both the participants and the audience, so the benefits last long after the curtain has closed.
When you watch Power of Moths, you will get to know disabled actors who let their unique set of abilities shine on stage and in life.
You will be inspired by their creative talents and will, hopefully, look at others in a fresh way.
The documentary is good for all ages, but has English subtitles. Adults and kids who are old enough to read will enjoy it most.

Synopsis
At a daycare center in Stolin, Belarus, young people with disabilities participate in theatrical productions.
The film was shot with the participation of theater companies from Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine, and Belarus.
Director Roman Romanov follows these actors, so we see their perceived limitations evaporate on stage, revealing depths of character and capabilities that are seldom explored.
The “stage” for them is not therapy or entertainment, but the only way of life in which they do not have limited opportunities because, for creativity, no physical limitations matter.
Home audiences will have front row seats as these disabled actors immerse themselves in the life of an enriching community.
Consequently, true love, openness, and the power of people is transformative in ways they could never have imagined.
