Drama on an Irish Island
Colin Farrell and Martin McDonagh are fantastic in The Banshees of Inisherin, so you’ll want to add it to your home movie collection.
The scenery of the remote island off the coast of mainland Ireland is gorgeous and the Irish music is beautiful.
I had heard the film described as a comedy, but wouldn’t call it that myself.
There are some humorous moments, but overall this is a drama that escalates to tragedy.
The story of life in a small town and male friendships is unique and I’m already planning on watching it agaiin.

Synopsis
From director-writer Martin McDonagh (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) comes a unique film starring Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson.
Although Pádraic (Farrell) and Colm (Gleeson) have been lifelong friends, they find themselves at an impasse when one abruptly ends their relationship, bringing alarming consequences for both of them.
