Are you thinking about a camera or camcorder this holiday season? Whether you are looking for a gift for yourself or for someone else, Best Buy is the ultimate destination for holiday gifts!

Like many of you, I take lots of photographs. When I was younger, I had to limit my picture taking since it got pricey purchasing film and then taking it in to be developed. Once I got my first digital camera, I was thrilled to finally be able to freely take as many pictures as I wanted.

My current camera is several years old and I’m due for a new one with higher resolution. As long as I’m upgrading, I’m excited about getting one with wifi capabilities.

Here are a few of the latest models that are available at Best Buy.

Best Buy - Nikon

Nikon D5300 DSLR with 18-55mm VR Lens

This 24.2 megapixel camera can take pictures that are crystal clear and video in full 1080p HD. I like that it has a VR (vibration reduction) lens for image stabilization, since there are times when I need this. It uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery (included).

Best Buy - Samsung

Samsung Galaxy Camera 2

This is the camera that I’m considering. Photos are sharp (16.3 megapixels), but not as high resolution as the Nikon. I’ve got a Samsung phone that I’m happy with and like that this one also uses android apps. It also has a large 4.8 inch touch screen that will come in handy.

Best Buy - Sony

Sony a6000 Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera

The Sony also has a 24.3 megapixel lens and can zoom up to 50mm for high definition photos from a distance. It’s compact and lightweight. The screen on this one is 3″, which may be fine for some of you. For me, I’d rather have the larger screen of the Samsung and would probably be ok with it’s reduced megapixels.

Which one of these cameras would be a good fit for you?
