The goal is to write down at least one summer-related word that begins with each letter of the alphabet, from A to Z.

For example, next to the letter C you could write cookout or camping.

This activity can be done by one person on their own, or it can be fun as a group activity at a picnic, party, or sleepover.

Words can be serious and obvious or they can be more obscure and humorous.

Anything goes and the results can be fun.

If you’re doing it as a group, you could make it a timed game with each person trying to fill in as many words as they can in a set amount of time.

Or, you can work together as a team to come up with the best summertime words for each of the 26 letters in the alphabet.

No matter how you choose to play, this summer word activity is a great way to have a fun and educational challenge.
