Film by Misho Antadze
When you watch The Harvest film, you will see how technology has transformed a region that was formerly part of the Soviet Union.
The Georgian documentary highlights the contrasts of the old and the new that manage to exist together.
The people are involved in cutting edge cryptocurrency mining (harvesting), but they also carry on with ancient farming traditions.
Other technological hubs are typically big cities, but that isn’t what you will find here.
There is a patchwork of building filled with computer equipment and satellite dishes mixed together with old family homes and farms.
It is fascinating to see how these worlds are coming together in a way that is unique to Georgia.
