Reader’s Digest knows how to make me cry. I can remember crying as I read magazine articles when I was a child and still do now. I had forgotten that this book was from Reader’s Digest, but sure enough tears were welling up before I even finished reading the book description.
This is a wonderful story about the love between a sister and brother, the love between people and dogs and the very real devastation of war. It’s a memoir that touches the heart and will make you appreciate your own family and pets more deeply.
