I loved reading Nancy Drew books when I was a kid, so am super excited about the latest Nancy Drew movie. It will be in theaters beginning March 15th, and it looks like it is going to be fun.

Sophia Lillis is Nancy, and I’m looking forward to seeing her unique take on this iconic character that has inspired girls for generations.

Synopsis

After the death of his wife, Carson Drew decides to leave Chicago behind and make a fresh start with his daughter 16-year-old daughter Nancy in River Heights. Nancy is asked by Flora to help solve the ghostly activity at her home, the Twin Elms mansion.
Can she help explain the creaking footsteps, exploding light bulbs and the ominous creature? Is it the handiwork of high-school bully Derek Barnes? Or is it possible that the ghost of original owner Malcolm Colfax is back for revenge?
Recruiting her best friends George and Bess, along with local “mean girl” Helen, Nancy Drew is on the case!

    I liked Nancy Drew as much as the Hardy Boys when I was 10-ish. Thank goodness my school library had both series in the original versions, so there was none of this new-fangled “updating” as our heroes went about in their Stutz Bearcats or whatever!

    I’m such a huge Nancy Drew fan, I will definitely be at this movie. I have original editions and revised editions for all of the Nancy Drew books, plus the later paperback series and now I’m introducing my daughter :D

    I loved these books and read all of them that were available when I was that age. I am glad they are still here for young readers.

    I loved watching Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys mysteries when I was very small. LOVED it. I’m glad to see a movie coming out to introduce Nancy to a new generation of kids.

    I read all the Nancy Drew books when I was in junior high through high school. I was addicted to the mysteries and her being a girl detective. My mom had some of the original books with the blue hardback covers, and that’s how I started reading them :) (I still have all my Nancy Drew books!) :)

    Nancy Drew books were one of my favorites growing up. I would check out two a week from the library! Now my niece is a fan.

    I have loved reading mysteries since I was a child. I started reading The Bobbsey Twins and Nancy Drew series books and mysteries are still my favorite genre to read.

    I grew up reading all the Nancy Drew stories. I passed my collection to my Daughter and now my Granddaughter is reading them. What a wonderful gift to pass down. I’m glad I saved them, now I need to catch up with all the volumes.
