No Tights – No Cape – No Problem
Flora and Ulysses is coming to Disney+ this month, so you will want to make plans to watch it with your family.
I have seen it already, but won’t ruin it for you with spoilers.
However, I will tell you that this is exactly the kind of imaginative feel good movie that all of us need right now.
The film is based on the Newberry Award winning children’s novel by Kate DiCamillo.
It isn’t meant to be realistic, but it will encourage kids to imagine how much fun it would be if it were true.
Squirrels can’t really talk and don’t possess super powers, but Ulysses does.
Flora is a clever girl who is ready for a heartwarming adventure with Ulysses and the people she loves.
This is the kind of fiction that I loved as a child and still do.
Be sure to watch the movie with your family on Disney+ and pick up the book for your child to read.

Synopsis
Disney’s “Flora & Ulysses” is a comedy-adventure based on the Newbery Award-winning book about 10-year-old Flora, an avid comic book fan and a self-avowed cynic, whose parents have recently separated.
After rescuing a squirrel she names Ulysses, Flora is amazed to discover he possesses unique superhero powers.
This takes them on an adventure of humorous complications that ultimately change Flora’s life–and her outlook–forever.
