I survived my first day of ExpoWest and am still smiling!
There are thousands of exhibitors. Thousands. I saw many today, but it feels like I’ve only scratched the surface. There will be plenty to keep me busy the rest of the weekend.
One big trend that I noticed was the huge amount of gluten free foods. It used to be that packaged GF foods were typically not that appealing for people who were not on a gluten free diet. The foods that I sampled today were absolutely fantastic. They’re made to be enjoyed by all. It makes it so much easier to have foods that the whole family can safely enjoy.
It was fun to see a lot of brands that I’ve featured on Sweeps4Bloggers. It’s really nice to have faces to go along with the products.
A few of the highlights were:
- Sibu – I’ve featured this company many times and use their products regularly. It was fun to meet the McMullins, the husband and wife team behind this great brand.
- Naturally Nora – Yes, Nora is a real woman. She looks just like her picture on the packaging and was just as nice as I would expect from a woman who makes such yummy baking mixes
- Wholly Wholesome – I’ve been having so much fun with their pie shells and crusts, that I hardly paid attention to their other products – cookies, cakes, bread…. Now I’m really looking forward to using their cookie dough to bake cookies at home.
