Matthew McConaughey !!!!!

Do I have your attention? :)

Yes, I got to spend an afternoon with Matthew McConaughey.

Of course, I would be happy to hang out with him anytime, but there really was a good reason for this oh-so-very-enjoyable afternoon.

The reason is kids.

The P&G GIVE Education’s “School the Nation” campaign is working to raise funds that will have a solid impact on the lives of children and teens, so that they can get an education and build a strong foundation that will help prepare them for adulthood. They aren’t interested in just throwing money at a problem. P&G wants more than that.

They have partnered with Communities in Schools to help with their efforts. They are a nationwide network that works on a local level to mentor and meet the needs of individuals, to give them the support they need to succeed in school and in life.

P&G is making it very easy for all of us to help School the Nation and you can actually help yourself in the process.

  • GET $5 back when you purchase $25 on participating P&G products
  • They will also GIVE $5 to Communities in Schools
  • SAVE $ when you use the coupons in the P&G BrandSAVER Sunday coupon booklet (and they’ll also donate another 2 cents for each coupon that is redeemed)

This is a win-win program that’s good for all – the people who help and the ones who are being helped.

Matthew McConaughey’s organization, Just Keep Livin, is one of the many groups that are working to make a difference. It was great to see teens who are currently in his program and ones who have graduated and are moving forward in positive directions.

The Communities in Schools network is doing great things around the country. Their mentoring approach is working. It’s great to help kids get a positive and healthy start on life.

Thank you SheSpeaks for providing me with the opportunity to attend this fun event.

Thank you P&G for supporting this worthy cause and making it simple for us to help!
