It’s the 60th anniversary of the beloved Broadway musical, so now is the perfect time to enjoy Roger & Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music Live.  This is a movie, but has all the excitement of a live action show.

I loved this classic as a child, and still enjoy it as an adult. Of course, the music was my favorite thing about the movie. Each unforgettable song perfectly captures the moment and brings the scenes to life.

Synopsis

    This was the very most favorite movie, I’m talking of the original, of our Grandma Helen. She would never miss it when it was aired on TV. She’s gone now, but these songs always bring her back again. You might call it her signature movie. Such a sweet woman never lived before. We all miss you Mum-mum!

    I remember seeing this movie for the first time when I was about 8 or 9 — my mom thought I was too young to enjoy it, but I loved it.
