The Latest Thriller from Koji Fukada
Watch the award winning thriller, A Girl Missing, so that you can savor each moment as the story gradually reveals itself.
The story is full of suspense, so every time I thought I had it figured out the story turned in a new direction.
Everything about this film is artfully done, so the cinematography, acting and soundtrack all work together to bring it to life.
A Girl Missing was directed by Koji Fukada, who also directed another film that I enjoyed, Harmonium.
It is unrated and is in Japanese with English subtitles.
Adults and older teens will enjoy the film, just like film festival audiences did.

Synopsis
Ichiko is a private home-nurse who has worked for the elder matriarch of the Oishos for years and regards them as her own family.
Her quiet, routine life is shattered when a young member of the Oishos clan is kidnapped.
When it is revealed that the kidnapper is none other than Ichiko’s nephew, her life begins to unravel.
This is a taut thriller from one of Japan’s current cinematic masters.
