I loved watching Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, when I was a child. He felt like a special friend, so it was wonderful to invite him into my home and onto my TV screen. He addressed big and small issues in a calm, age appropriate way.
In 2012, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood premiered, and kids have been delighted by the spinoff ever since. The show is based on Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood of Make-Believe, so has a familiar feel to it. They didn’t try to recreate the original show, but are retaining the magic of it in an animated format.
The Won’t You Be Our Neighbor DVD has five sweet episodes. Each one is relevant and easy for littles to relate to, so they’ll want to watch them many, many times.

Synopsis
In the first episode, Won’t You Be Our Neighbor?, Daniel is excited to meet the family moving into the Neighborhood of Make-Believe!
Daniel lends a hand by making his new neighbor and playmate, Jodi Platypus, feel right at home. In Jodi’s First Day at School, Teacher Harriet lets Jodi find someone she knows in class and hopes it will make her less nervous on her first day.
Jodi finds Daniel and he becomes “First Day Friend” to help his new friend adjust.
