Watch Djon Africa for a beautiful journey of self discovery, when this young man heads from Portugal to Cape Verde to search for his roots. 

Like many young people, he hasn’t yet figured out his path in life. 

He has an idea of who he is, but he learns that others see him differently than he sees himself. 

For those of you are are not up on your geography, Cape Verde is a country that consists of a group of islands off the west coast of Africa. 

The scenery is beautiful and the story is charming. 

It is fun to follow along with his journey of self discovery. 

Djon Africa is in Portuguese with English subtitles.

It isn’t rated, but is best for teens and adults who will enjoy the story.

Synopsis

Miguel, son of Cape Verdean, born and raised on the outskirts of Lisbon, decides to embark on a trip to the African continent to look for his father and deepen his roots.

However, he is surprised by the way he is received in the land of his ancestors, who do not perceive him as he imagined himself to be.

DJON AFRICA is an intimate road movie of personal discovery about identity and self-knowledge.
