Guardian of the Highlands is a animated movie intended to entertain children. It’s been a long time since I was a child, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and I’m sure kids will, too.
The movie features the vocal talents of Sir Sean Connery. His character is a grandpa who reminds me quite a bit of Indiana Jones. There is action, adventure, danger along with laughter and fun. It’s nice to have a hero of advanced age who is ready to protect and save the Highlands.
The music is fantastic. The soundtrack is by Patrick Doyle who wrote the music for Brave. The title track is sung by the woman who did the theme songs for two classic Sean Connery films, Goldfinger and Diamonds are Forever.
The movie isn’t rated, but will be good for most ages. The action is intense at times, but the movie is fun and has good messages about being kind to animals and protecting our natural resources.
