There is nothing quite like a hammock for backyard relaxation, when you want to put your feet up and enjoy fresh breezes.

The past year has been filled with all sorts surprises, but spending time in my backyard oasis each evening has been a wonderful stress reliever.

I look forward to unwinding in my hammock as the sun goes down just about everyday.

If you happen to have trees that are positioned perfectly, you can try hanging up your hammock using the tree as support.

However, most of us will want to use a hammock stand.

When you use a stand, you can keep your hammock in one spot or you can move it around to different locations.

At first, I tried my hammock in a few different spots.

Now, I have settled on a spot that is just perfect for me underneath a beautiful bougainvillea plant that has taken over my patio.

I am celebrating National Hammock Day this year, but it’s true that I celebrate it year round.
