The Crocodile Who Lives in New York City
Lyle Lyle Crocodile is a fantastic movie based on the beloved children’s book by Bernard Waber, The House on East 88th Street.
When I was a kid, I adored the book and read it over and over again.
Naturally, I wanted to have a crocodile lounging in my bathtub, too.
As you can see, my book has been well loved for many, many years.
There is always a chance that a movie adaptation of a book will disappoint.
However, Lyle did not.
The movie is great and brought back happy memories of this charming story.
It isn’t an exact copy of the book, but has been brought into the modern day.
They added great music and gave it all a modern update all while retaining the heart that made the book so wonderful.
This is a fantastic choice for family movie night at home.
