Io Sto Bene: Past and Present Converge in an Evocative Drama of Shared Immigrant Experiences
Io Sto Bene, meaning “I am fine” in Italian, is a poignant drama about the complex and often contradictory experiences of immigrants.
Set in Luxembourg, the film tells the story of Italian immigrants who are struggling to come to terms with their past and their present.
A beautiful and thought-provoking film, Io Sto Bene is a must-see for anyone who has ever felt like an outsider.
Luxembourg’s official entry for Best International Feature at the 94th Academy Awards, the film is a beautifully written and directed drama that explores the complex and often contradictory experiences of immigrants.
Note: This film is not rated, but I would recommend it for adults and teens who can follow the subtitles and keep up with the story going between past and present.
Io Sto Bene is a thought-provoking and moving film that is beautiful and well-made.
