The Buffalo Man: An Urban Legend

film scene el hombre bufalo

Journalism can be a dangerous profession, but it takes a surreal turn in El Hombre Bufalo when an urban legend and true events collide.

“El Hombre Bufalo” is Spanish for “The Buffalo Man” and you will see a man in a buffalo head in the movie that is set in Mexico.

Much of it has a dreamlike feel, but there is a serious story underneath the surreal dream.

We’ve all seen the dangers investigative journalists have faced recently in the US, but it is even more dangerous for Mexican journalists.

In fact, it is one of the most dangerous places for those in the profession as criminals are willing to protect their interests at any cost.

It takes strong conviction and bravery for journalists to continue to dig for and expose the truth.
