His classical ballet performances are as beautiful today as they were, when first performed.
It is wonderful that the 1972 film has now been restored in HD, so the images are crisp and clear.
The dancing is beautiful, of course.
And getting to know more about the talented dancer helps me appreciate his work even more.

It offers an unprecedented look at the training and dedication behind his electrifying art.
Providing a unique glimpse into Nureyev’s personality, preparation and technique, I AM A DANCER includes excerpts from his performances in the classical ballets La Sylphide and The Sleeping Beauty.
Additionally, there are sequences from the modern ballet Field Figures with Deanne Bergsma, and Frederick Ashton’s Marguerite and Armand with his long-time partner Margot Fonteyn.
The blu-ray includes a 16 page collectible booklet with a new essay and beautiful photos.
