Picture Frame Craft That Glows In The Dark
Photo frames are nice, but a DIY glow in the dark picture frame craft made with glow tape and glow stars is extra fun.
The stars look nice in daylight, but are extra fun when the lights go out.
This craft is easy, so it doesn’t take any advanced skills to make a fun DIY frame.
Make one or make a whole bunch of them to string up together and fill them with your favorite photos.
Glow in The Dark Stars
This craft uses glow in the dark stars in a fun new way.
These are the same type of glow in the dark stars that kids like to stick to the walls and ceilings in their bedroom to enjoy when the lights go out.
You can find them all in one color or as a multicolor pack, like the one I have.
Arrange your stars just like mine or come up with your own design.
Glow in The Dark Tape
There are a lot of practical uses for glow in the dark tape around the house, but it’s also fun to use for creative craft projects.
A roll of half inch wide tape was good for my small frame.
If you are making a larger frame, you can get a wider roll or double up on the narrow tape.
Paper Picture Frame
Ready to use sets of paper picture frames are available in convenient packs with twine and mini clothespins, so you can easily add your own personal touches.
The frames are made from sturdy cardboard that is inexpensive, but look nice when you hang them up.
I chose a black paper frame for this project, since I think it think it looks nice when it glows in the dark.
However, the frames are also available in white, natural and assorted colors.
They typically come in sets of 10, 30 or 50 frames, so you can pick up however many you need.
It’s easy to slip your photo in through the opening at the top.
If you have a Cricut or other cutting machine, you can make and assemble your own.
However, these are very reasonably priced and it’s convenient to have them already put together and packaged with twine and clothespins.
Mini Clothespins
I purchased a frame pack that includes mini clothespins and twine, as many of them do.
The small clothespins can also be purchased separately in classic natural wood or in other colors.
Glue
Regular white school glue is fine for this craft, since the glow in the dark stars are lightweight.
A stronger craft glue would be fine, too.
You only need a drop of glue for each star to stay in place.
A glue that dries clear is best, just in case any of it oozes out from behind the stars.
