This one is a keeper, so it deserves a place in your home movie collection.

The animated film is obviously fictional, but the story and characters are very relatable.

Turning Red tackles situations and emotions in real ways that kids can understand.

Little kids will view the movie differently than bigger tweens and teens.

And, adults like me will wish that Turning Red had been around decades ago, when we were growing up.

Turning Red is a coming of age story, but it is handled in a fresh way that makes growing up seem like a normal part of life.

Growing up isn’t always easy and that’s ok.

In fact, the challenges that kids face can help them develop into who they are meant to be and can strengthen relationships with family and friends.
