We all know that fruit is a vital part of a healthy diet, providing the vitamins and energy we need to stay grape!
Whether you are picking a snack from the fridge or harvesting something fresh, there is always something new to discover in the world of produce.
From the Backyard to the Farmer’s Market 🏡
I absolutely love fruit—so much so that I grow quite a bit of it right in my own backyard!
There is nothing like the taste of a sun-ripened raspberry or a zesty lemon or lime picked straight from the tree.
Living in Southern California, I’m also lucky enough to have avocados and citrus growing outside my door. 🥑
When I’m not “shopping” in my garden, I love heading to the local farmer’s market to find seasonal gems.
It is such a fun way to support local growers and find inspiration for this A to Z list!
How to Play: Your Fruit Activity Page Mission 📋
Your task is simple: find a fruit for every letter of the alphabet. You can play this a few different ways:
- Solo Play: Grab a pencil and see how many you can name off the top of your head. It’s a great way to remind yourself to add more variety to your plate!
- Family Competition: See who can come up with the most unique fruits. Does anyone know a fruit for ‘Q’ or ‘X’?
- Educational Fun: This is a fantastic way for kids to learn about healthy fruits while practicing their spelling.
Don’t Let the Tough Letters Make You Blue! 🫐
Let’s be honest: some letters are a bit of a peach, while others are a real tough nut to crack.
If you get stuck on ‘U’ or ‘X’, don’t worry!
It is perfectly okay to look for some online help.
You might just discover a new exotic fruit that you’ll want to try on your next grocery trip! 🥥
A Sneak Peek: Get Your Juices Flowing! 🥤
To help you get started, here are a few ideas to spark your appetite:
- A: Avocado (Yes, it’s a fruit!) or Apple 🍎
- K: Kumquat (One of my garden favorites!) or Kiwi 🥝
- M: Mango or Melon 🥭
- R: Raspberry or Rambutan 🩷
- Z: Zucchini (Technically a fruit!) or Zinfandel Grapes 🍇
