A Radiant Girl is both beautiful and heartbreaking, so you’ll want to see this coming-of-age movie set in Nazi-occupied France in 1942.

It follows the life of Irene, a young Jewish woman who is forced to come of age in a time of great danger and uncertainty.

The film is written and directed by Sandrine Kiberlain, a well-known French actor making her directorial debut.

She does an excellent job of capturing the innocence and hopefulness of youth, as well as the growing sense of fear and dread that pervades the film as the war progresses.
