Fruit Flavor Without the High Fructose Corn Syrup!
Langers Agua Fresca drinks, including Strawberry Hibiscus and Cucumber Lime, have the refreshing flavors of traditional street-cart beverages.
The convenient, shelf-stable drink has no high fructose corn syrup and tastes best served extra cold over ice.
🌺 Taste Test: Trying the New Langers Agua Fresca Varieties
Living here in Southern California, I know that nothing beats a cold, traditional agua fresca on a warm, sunny day.
I love having the option of a shelf stable version to stock in my pantry, so I was happy to do a taste test of the Langers Agua Fresca line.
🍹 What is Agua Fresca?
For those who might not be familiar, agua fresca translates to “cool waters” or “fresh waters” in Spanish.
It is a popular, light beverage made from blended fruits, water, a bit of sweetener, and sometimes herbs or flowers.
It is refreshing, lighter than a heavy juice, and designed to crush your thirst.
🍓 My Firsthand Flavor Taste Test
Langers currently offers a few different flavor combinations, and I started with two classic varieties that I already love buying fresh:
- Strawberry Hibiscus (Fresa y Jamaica): The sweet, juicy strawberry pairs well with the tart, floral notes of the hibiscus.
- Cucumber Lime (Pepino y Limón): The cooling essence of fresh cucumber mixed with a zesty punch of lime makes it crisp and rejuvenating.
Both of these varieties are fantastic!
They also offer Pineapple Passion Fruit (Piña y Maracuyá) and Mango Lime (Mango y Limón), which I haven’t tried just yet, but they are definitely on my grocery list for next time.
🧊 Why Langers Agua Fresca Stands Out
There are a couple of major perks that make these a permanent staple for summer hosting and daily sipping:
- NO High Fructose Corn Syrup: Finding pre-made fruit drinks without HFCS can be a challenge. Langers gets a huge yay! from me for keeping the ingredient list cleaner.
- Pantry Convenient: These bottles are completely shelf-stable until you open them. You can stock up your pantry, and then simply move a bottle to the fridge when you are ready to enjoy it.
💡 My Serving Tips
While you can drink these straight from the fridge, I like it best served ice cold poured over a generous glass of ice.
Drinking it extra frosty really makes those fruit and herbal notes pop.
It is the perfect pairing for a backyard taco night, a weekend picnic, or just a relaxing afternoon on the patio.
Have you tried any of the Langers Agua Fresca flavors yet?
