This easy Halloween bat frame craft is perfect for kids, teens, and adults of all ages.
With just a few simple supplies, you can have fun creating a festive and spooky bat picture frame.
It’s a great way to get into the Halloween spirit and create a festive decoration for your home.
Plus, it’s so easy to make that anyone can make a nice bat frame.
The bat picture frame is made with a paper picture frame, shiny silver washi tape, and 3D bat stickers.
This fun and easy Halloween craft is perfect for an individual or a group activity.
Make yours just like mine or get creative and come up with something unique that suits your style.
Paper Picture Frame
Inexpensive and easy-to-use paper picture frames are a great option for crafting.
They are typically made from sturdy cardboard and come in sets of 10, 30, or 50 frames, so you can pick up however many you need.
To use a paper picture frame, simply slip your photo in through the opening at the top.
While you can use a Cricut or other cutting machine to make your own picture frames, ready to use paper picture frames are a very affordable and convenient option.
They are also available in a variety of colors and sizes, so you can find the perfect frame for your project.
Washi Tape
Washi tape is an inexpensive and easy-to-use craft supply that can be used to make your Halloween craft fun and festive.
It is available in a variety of colors, patterns, and widths, so you can find the perfect tape for your project.
For this Halloween bat picture frame craft, I used shiny silver washi tape.
I like the way it looks and it’s a nice contrast to the solid black bats.
However, you can use any type of washi tape you like.
3D Bat Stickers
Black 3D bat stickers are a great way to add a spooky and festive touch to your Halloween crafts.
They come in packs with assorted sizes and bat shapes, so you can find the perfect stickers for your homemade frame craft.
You can choose between 3D bat stickers made from stiff paper or PVC.
Both types of stickers have lines to show you where to fold to give the bats their 3D shape.
Since 3D bat stickers aren’t sticky all over like regular stickers, you will need to use adhesive to stick them on.
Adhesives for 3d Bat Stickers
There are a few different types of adhesives that you can use to stick 3D bat stickers to your Halloween crafts.
Here are a few great options:
- Double-sided foam tape: This is the most common type of adhesive that is used with 3D bat stickers. It is easy to use and provides a strong bond. Most 3D bat stickers come with double-sided foam tape included in the package.
- Glue dots: Glue dots are a convenient and easy-to-use adhesive option. They are also very strong and will hold your 3D bat stickers securely in place. I used glue dots for my Halloween bat picture frame craft and they worked perfectly.
- School glue or tacky craft glue: This is a good option if you don’t have double-sided foam tape or glue dots on hand. However, it is important to note that school glue and tacky craft glue will take longer to dry than double-sided foam tape or glue dots.
Where to Buy Craft Supplies Online
- AliExpress has a huge selection of craft supplies at super low prices – incredibly low prices. Plan ahead when you order, since shipping can take longer than US based companies.
- Amazon also has a good selection of supplies and shipping can be very fast.
You can get the supplies for this DIY project at either of those online stores.
Get Creative
There are endless possibilities when it comes to decorating your Halloween bat picture frame.
You can get creative and use your imagination to create a frame that is unique.

2) Add strips of washi tape to the frames however you’d like. Use sharp scissors or a craft knife to cut the tape to size, so that you get a clean cut.
